Treatment of acute illness for adults and children involving the following systems: – Musculoskeletal – Neurological – Gastrointestinal – Dermatological – Vascular – Respiratory – Cardiovascular – Mental Health – Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) – Urinary – Gynaecological – Rheumatology – Endocrine – Haematology
Treatment of Medical Emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, trauma or bleeding
Chronic Disease Management (CDMs) for the following conditions: – Asthma – COPD and Emphysema – Type 2 Diabetes – Hypertension – Ischaemic Heart Disease – Thyroid disorders – Learning Disability
Chronic Disease Management for: – Type 1 Diabetes – Hyperthyroidism
Antenatal Clinics with the Midwife Child Health and Development Baby Clinics (6 week checks) Cervical Smears Family Planning services including implants and coils Joint Injections Men’s Health Women’s Health Palliative Care Monitoring for selected specialist medications including Warfarin and Methotrexate
Home Nursing Services (Provided by the District Nurses)
Non-NHS Examinations. Examinations for special purposes (e.g. HGV or insurance) are not directed related to your health and therefore not funded by the NHS. The practice will carry out these services however there is a charge.
Reports and forms. With the exception of Sick Notes, Medical Incapacity Forms (AWI) and Department of Work and Pension forms, all other reports and forms are not funded by the NHS and will therefore incur a charge.
