District Nurse

District Nurses provide a full range of nursing care and support in their own homes to patients who are unable to attend surgery. They work closely with other health professions including GPs, Social Services, hospitals and other health workers.


Health Visitor

Health Visitors work closely with families, giving support and information on all aspects of child and family health. Health visitors look after children aged less than 5 years of age. Some “drop in” clinics are available – contact the Health Visitor for information on clinic times.


Midwife 

All Almond Group Midwife appointments are dealt with the midwife at South Queensferry on  0131 537 4465

The midwife provides antenatal and postnatal care.


Physiotherapist

Operates from Strathbrock Partnership Centre or South Queensferry Medical Practice. You can self refer to this service. Please ask at Reception for details.


Podiatry

Dental Treatment

Please see your dentist, not your GP. GPs are not able or insured to treat any form of dental problem. If you are registered with a dentist, you should first contact your dentist who is obliged to arrange emergency care.

If you are not registered with a dentist, you should telephone 0131 537 8444 for information on dental practices who are registering NHS patients in Lothian. For emergency dental care if you are not registered with a dentist, you can use the Walk-In facility at Chalmers Dental Centre, 3 Chalmers Street, Edinburgh EH3 9EW, Monday-Friday 9.00am – 4.45 pm Monday to Thursday, and 9.00 am – 4.15 pm Friday.
